At the Inauguration ceremony of Annual Scientific Sessions of College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of Sri Lanka held on 28th July 2023 at Araliya Beach Resort and Spa, Unawatuna, the 18th Oration of the College was delivered by Dr. Ananda Rathnayake, Senior Lecturer, Department of Oral Surgery, Faculty of Dental Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. With a wealth of experience in the domain of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Rathnayake captivated the audience with his oration titled “Where to Where?: Oral Cancer – Historic Perspective.” Throughout his oration, Dr. Rathnayake eloquently navigated the audience through various milestones in the management of oral cancer, highlighting the challenges and breakthroughs that have shaped the field over the years.
