The 2nd batch of dental students of the Faculty of Dental Sciences University of Sri Jayewardenepura commenced the academic activities on 20th February 2023 following completion of the Orientation Program.
The commencement lecture marking the beginning of academic activities for the new entrants to the BDS degree program was delivered by Dr. J. M. W. Jayasundara Bandara, former Director General of Health Services and the Director, Primary Health Care System Strengthening Project, Ministry of Health. Dr. Jayasundara Bandara delivered an inspirational lecture highlighting the prospects of dental surgery.
