The welcome ceremony of the second batch of dental students (2021/2022) was held on 30th January 2023 at University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Professor Upul Subhasinghe, Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura graced the occasion and addressed the new dental intake. Senior Professor Surangi Yasawardene, Dean, Faculty of Dental Sciences and Dr. Priyake Palipana, Senior Lecturer and Head, Department of Restorative Dentistry addressed the gathering. Dr. Rasika Ekanayaka, Coordinator, Orientation Programme delivered the Welcome Address. Senior Professor Aloka Pathirana, Dean, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Mr. A.B. Welivita, Registrar, USJ and academic members of the Faculties of Medical Sciences and Dental Sciences were present at the occasion. The students commenced the orientation programme soon after the Welcome Ceremony.
